The Mason City Community Theatre will present 'Amahl and the Night Visitors' in celebration of the winter season.

Amahl and the Night Visitors is the first musical composed for television braodcast. The story is of a young, crippled boy, Amahl, and the miracle that cures him. Three kings come to visit Amahl and his mother while searching for a king. They bring with them tresures of great value. After Amahl's mother is caught trying to steal some of the gold to help her child, the Kings forgive her. She is so overcome with gratitude that she tries to return the gold and Amahl tries to donate his staff--because due to a miracle, he can now walk.
